I first fell in love with Poms as a little girl when I took
dance lessons from Dorothy Bonner in the late 1950s. It would
be over 40 years later when with my husband’s indulgence; I
finally bought my first Pom, Sobe, who went on to become BISA CH
Starfire’s RobCary Sobe It HOF, ROM. Please go to our

We are members of
the
American Pomeranian Club,
founding members of
Alamo Area Toy Dog Club, Caryl
is Owner/ President of
Rob Cary Pet Resort and Todd is
an registered Architect and a consultant with a large Texas
Architectural firm.
The Poms share our
home on a 26 acre hilltop in the beautiful Texas hill country
just
north
of San Antonio. Todd designed our dream home which was
completed in 2009. The house wraps around almost ½ acre
of oak covered dog yards where the Poms go out to
play. I can keep an eye on them from almost any room in the
house. Of course their favorite place is inside with us. Our
puppies are whelped in our bedroom where the new moms have a
quiet environment and we can closely monitor mom and babies.
Once the puppies open their eyes they are moved into a puppy pen
in the living room so they become accustomed to normal household
noises and activities and they get lots of attention. I taught
Puppy Training, Basic and Advance Obedience and Competition
classes for over 30 years
so we know the importance of early puppy socialization.

I
have enjoyed showing dogs as a hobby since the 1960s when I
trained and showed one of my parents German Shepherds, Blackie,
who was my buddy through my teenage years. In the 1970s and 80s
I raised and showed Shelties, competing and
putting
many obedience and conformation titles on my dogs and friends’
dogs.
When Todd and I
met in 1988 he had a sweet little Golden Retriever, Kandi. Todd
trained Kandi and put her Companion
Dog and Companion Dog Excellent titles on her.

We also
have a beautiful, Sweet Bullmastiff, Maggie, CH Warden Del
Toro’s The Iron Lady of RobCary who Todd handled to her
Championship. Maggie is the “muscle back-up” to the “Pom Alarm
system” at our house.
We strive to breed
beautiful Poms that are physically and mentally sound.
We focus mainly on cream, white and orange
with a goal of producing exceptional
cream and white
Poms. We keep our numbers low so we can give the dogs all the
attention and care they
need. We breed only a few litters a year and occasionally have
show prospects, pet puppies or young adults available to the
right homes.
